I would like to make a call for volunteers for some of our ministries at the parish. Please pray to ask if God is calling you to give your time and talent to our parish in one of the following ways:
Couples Mentors for Marriage Preparation: This important ministry helps prepare engaged couples for marriage in the Church. The diocese will train you in everything you need to know. Looking for married couples (both can be Catholic or only one) who are in happy marriages and who wish to hand on the Catholic Church’s teaching on Christian marriage. Baptism Mentors: This ministry helps prepare parents for the baptism of their first child. Once again, you will be provided with the information needed to help families at this most special time in the life of their child. Second Sunday Social Ministry: We are looking for a couple and/or group to coordinate our Second Sunday Socials. In the past, various ministries or organizations have taken charge of our monthly coffee and donuts. While we still encourage groups to have tables at these gatherings, it would be much more helpful to have one group coordinate the actual social. The parish pays for everything and the only thing really required is for someone to make the coffee, pick up the donuts and be present. This would be a great opportunity for someone who wants to volunteer but is able to give just a few hours each month. If any of you are you called by God to help in these ministries, just give me a call and I will set you up! Remember, you can never outdo God in his generosity. Think about volunteering at the parish! Father Al

On March 3, 1868, Pope Pius IX, accepting the recommendation of the Bishops of the Second Plenary Council of the United States of America, issued a decree establishing the Diocese of Harrisburg. We give thanks to Almighty God as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of our Diocese.
