For your love of God: Join us as we explore the Beatitudes of Luke’s Gospel 6:20-26, how these short proclamations can mean so much, and how they applied to the lives of the early disciples and to our lives now. Also, be prepared to discuss a comparison to Matthew’s Gospel 5:3-10. Read and research before you come, and bring your bible, pen, and paper. All are invited. Bring a friend to learn more about our faith on Wednesday, July 24 at 7:00 pm in the parish center.

As we enter the hazy, lazy days of summer, there’s just a number of people to whom we need to say thanks for a job well-done:
Do you ever wonder why Catholics do what they do? As Catholics we learn our faith as children but we don’t have a full understanding of our beliefs and practices as adults. We must seek out time in our busy lives to learn and deepen our faith in order to be the person God created us to be. The answers can be explored in the Bible.
The I Thirst Prayer Community is a group of people who want to learn more about their faith, the true meaning and understanding of scriptures in the Bible in order to grow in holiness and enter into an intimate relationship with God. Peter and the first disciples received the Holy Spirit, lived in community with one another, supported one another, and went out to make Christians of all nations as commanded by Jesus. We have received the same Spirit and are also called to live in community and make disciples of all people! We are the Church.
We are a community that:
The goal of this group is to have a personal relationship with God through prayer, studying scripture and fellowship with one another to enrich lives and become true disciples of Jesus Christ.
*Note: All are welcome to attend. Remember when you put God first your day is put in divine or order!
Join us this summer for a series of Scripture Studies and Praying Scriptures that contains a theme which is the basis of our faith. See Bulletin announcements for more information or call Lynn Schuck at 717-503-1600.
Does this describe your faith? Join us for the first in a series of scripture studies as we learn what Paul was teaching in 1 Cor. 1:1-9, 18-31 (guided by Fr. Modestus).
Research this scripture, make notes, and come with your bible/bible app, pen, and paper on Wednesday, July 17 at 7:00 pm in the Parish Center. Bring a friend to share your faith as you learn. Hosted by the I Thirst Prayer Community.
