I was born and raised Catholic, but my husband of 9 years is not. Both of our children were baptized Catholic with the support of my husband and he attends Mass with us as a family almost every week. Is there anything that I can do (other than praying) to encourage him to consider becoming Catholic as well?

I am trying to explain to a Protestant friend why they are not permitted to join us in Communion, in simple relatable terms... Any insight or explanation would be most helpful. I lost them when I tried to discuss Consubstantiation versus Transubstantiation. They are from a Methodist background. Thank you!!

When did we start holding hands during the Our Father and should we be doing that? I know people have been doing it for awhile, but for the first 50 years of being a catholic, we did not, A priest told me once that we should not. Should we?

Dear Father, I have been struggling with the aftermath of a close relative's suicide a year ago. The recent tragedies within the diocese and at school have brought this all fresh to the surface again. How does one even begin to understand this tragedy, and deal with the guilt of not being able to help from preventing this? Also, I am worried about the eternal salvation of my loved one. As children we were taught that suicide was a mortal sin and one would go straight to hell if they committed this sin. What is the church's stance on this today?

I am interested to know how and where the rosary for first introduced. Also an explanation of why the 15 decades (150 Hail Mary's). I was told it somehow relates to the 150 Psalms.
