On Saturday, October 6th our parish held our Annual Blessing of the Animals outside of the Parish Center. We host this event each year in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi's love for all creatures! His feast day was October 4th. A special thanks is extended to Sister Eileen McGowan and Joe & Denise McCracken for sharing these wonderful photos with us!  It's that time to clean out your closets! Our annual Life Teen Clothing Drive is almost here. You will be able to drop off clothing before or after masses on the weekend of October 20-21. The Life Teen banner will be attached to a white truck. You are welcome to place items in the back of it.
All the clothing collected will be delivered to shelters and ministries in the Harrisburg area.  Please join us for a Memorial Service on the Sixth Annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, Saturday, September 8th. The service will take place at St. Joan of Arc Church following the 9:00 am Mass. We will gather at the Memorial for the victims of abortion which is located by the main entrance to the Church.
Throughout the country Pro-Life Americans will be gathering on this day at the gravesites of aborted babies and other memorial sites dedicated in their honor. Solemn vigils will be held at these locations to commemorate the more than 59 million children who have lost their lives to legal abortion since 1973, and to remind our society of the humanity of the unborn child. Together let us remember the victims of abortion and pray for a final end to this injustice.  Our Festival Plant Table is in need of donations! Anything from annuals, perennials, vegetables, bulbs, seedlings, anything! This is a great time to thin out your beds and donate some plants to a good cause! Please drop off your donations at the entrance of the school between June 10th and June 14th.
 A Diaper Drive will be held May 19th & 20th before each mass in front of the church to benefit Lourdes House - a Catholic charity benefiting new mothers & mothers to be.
Needed items are:
*Hosted by Knights of Columbus.  Deacon Matthew Morelli will be ordained a Diocesan Priest on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
He will be celebrating his first Mass on Sunday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. Please join us as we congratulate him with a dinner reception immediately following Mass. If you are planning to attend, please R.S.V.P no later than Friday, May 25 via the online form here or email: sjaccwpres@gmail.com  Father Al and our parish's Welcome Ministry warmly invite all individuals and families, who are new to St. Joan of Arc since October 2017, to attend a special Welcome Reception.
Please join us for fellowship and light refreshments on Saturday, June 2, 2018 following the 5:15 pm Mass. The reception will be held in the Parish Center. If you plan to attend we would appreciate if would take a moment to RSVP before May 30th, though a RSVP is not required. You may do so through the online form (here) or by emailing: welcome@stjoanhershey.org  The tradition of celebrating Faith, Family & Fun continues this with year with our 44th Annual Parish Festival! This is our parish’s only major fundraiser - and we need your help to make it a success!
