Enthronement Weekend 2015

Devotion to the Heart of Jesus has existed throughout much of the history of the Church, however in France in June of 1675, Jesus instructed Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque that
He wished devotion to His Sacred Heart to be made known to the world. He gave her Twelve Great Promises for those devoted to His Sacred Heart. One of those promises is, “I will bless the homes in which an image of My Heart is exposed and honored”.

It is this promise that forms the basis of the parish’s Enthronement Weekend. At all of the Masses on November 21 & 22, Enthronement Packets will be distributed, which will include beautiful pictures of Jesus and Mary. You are encouraged to get the pictures framed and then come together as a family to put the pictures in a place of honor while saying prayers to enthrone the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the home and consecrate your family to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is a simple, yet very powerful way to obtain blessings and graces for your families.
