I want to inform you of an amazing event we are sponsoring: "Made for More: Visions of the Promised Land.” This evening is an inspired blend of teaching, live music, and art that taps the deepest desires of the human heart revealing their ultimate purpose and goal. World renowned speaker and author Christopher West, along with musician Mike Mangione, will offer a vision of the Gospel like you’ve never heard through the lens of Saint John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. I guarantee your life will be transformed by attending. The event will be held the evening of April 2 at 7:00 pm at Bishop McDevitt High School. We are hosting this event with other parishes in the Diocese, so make sure you get your tickets early; this event is expected to sell out quickly. Tickets would make a great present for your friends and family, especially high school students and young adults. Tickets are available in the Parish Office and online. Check the bulletin, posters in the narthex, or contact Lou Felice for more information. Answers to your questions“Father, what services does the Diocese of Harrisburg provide for survivors of clergy sexual abuse?”
The diocese for many years now has been offering spiritual, pastoral, and mental health assistance to survivors. The diocese also pays for any counseling services the survivor uses, no matter where they choose to seek counseling. In 2019, survivors will be able to participate in the Survivor’s Compensation Program, which will provide additional financial support. The Church truly wants survivors to find healing and peace!
