From The Pastor: 07-14-2019

As we enter the hazy, lazy days of summer, there’s just a number of people to whom we need to say thanks for a job well-done:

• To all the volunteers for our Parish Festival. There are too many to name but a whole lot of love and gratitude go out to all of you for making our festival the best ever! So much work goes into planning and executing the festival that all of us are deeply appreciative of the time and energy you give to the parish to make this a real community-builder! God bless you!
• To Joe Yaklowich, who for many, many years has been one of our faithful sacristans in charge of the flowers in the church and all of our seasonal decorating. Joe will be leaving this volunteer position on September 20 and we are grateful for your attention to details and real commitment all these years. Job well done, Joe!
• To the Centennial Project Cabinet, the Pastoral Council, Finance Council, School Board, and Parish Staff for all that you are doing as we move forward with our project. Lots of new and interesting events are taking place. I will fill you in as soon as I have more information!
• To all of our families who, despite vacations and altered schedules, are making coming to Mass each week (here and elsewhere) a priority for your families. God will bless you for your faithfulness! God doesn’t take a vacation from us. Let’s not take a vacation from Him!
• And finally, thanks to God for the beauty of summer and rest and relaxation that nourishes us in body and soul. In all things, THANKS!
