Reminder of upcoming events:

• Eucharistic Devotions will take place in our parish September 29-October 1. This is a special time of grace in our parish. Father Steve Arena will be our homilist. Please take a half-hour time slot for adoration and sign up in the vestibule of the church. A reminder that devotions take place each night at 7:00 pm. Come out and spend time with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.
• I will be having a presentation on “Prayer as a way toward healing” this Thursday night at 7:00 pm. I am going to ask that you let us know if you are planning on attending (no one showed up for the last presentation!). I think adult education is important in the parish but also understand your busy schedules so from now on I am going to ask you let us know ahead of time if you plan on coming. Let the parish office know by Wednesday if you are interested! Thanks!
• I have fifty copies of Bishop Robert Barron’s small book, “Letter to a Suffering Church: A Bishop Speaks on the Sexual Abuse Crisis.” They are free for the taking. Stop by the parish office and help yourself. First come, first served. I would love to hear your comments on Bishop Barron’s analysis of the crisis.
• We also have 40+ copies of Matthew Kelly’s “Rediscovering Jesus: An Invitation” that are free for the taking. (I had given this book to our volunteers as a Christmas present a few years ago and have extras.) Again, you can pick it up at the parish office.
• Fall is here! Enjoy this wonderful time of the year. What a good time to settle down with a good spiritual book and learn more about your faith!
