From The Pastor 10-18-2015

This past Tuesday we welcomed Bishop Gainer to our parish to confer the Sacrament of Confirmation upon our 9th Grade students. What a beautiful moment in the life of our parish but, especially, in the life of these young men and women. Pray for them! I want to thank all those who were involved with their preparation for this sacrament: parents, sponsors, family members and catechists. Continue to be good role models to our fully initiated members of the Church and encourage them to depend upon the Holy Spirit in their lives.

A special thanks goes to our DRE, Mrs. Connie Egan. Connie has been our Director of Religious Education for the past ten years and has done a wonderful job in coordinating our Religious Education Program. Connie is a natural teacher and her presence in our parish and as a member of the parish staff has been a great blessing to all of us. It is with sadness that I announce that Connie will be leaving her position as DRE at Saint Joan’s in a few weeks. She has accepted a new and challenging position both with the Cathedral Parish of Saint Patrick in Harrisburg and for the Diocese in the Office for Divine Worship. We congratulate Connie on her new position and promise to pray for her as she begins this new endeavor. Thank you for all you have done for Saint Joan of Arc Parish. Keep us in your prayers.
