Generosity takes practice. You get a hundred chances a day to be generous. But do not try it on your own. Instead let the generosity of God, the charity of God, the love of God, the life of God flow through you.
Let the author of generosity, its founder and its source be the vital spring that flows in and through your heart.
Practice generosity in each encounter with another. Escape your own orbit. Take generosity into your prayer life, your home life, and your work place. Bring it to your experience of Church. Make it abundant in every dimension of your life. Be generous in your patience, in your listening, in your forgiveness, in your prayer, in your readiness to serve and readiness to share of your blessings.
Let God practice generosity through you as his beloved child. In this way alone, God who has already made you generous, will make you perfectly like Him... sacred in heart... profoundly generous... Filled with great possibility and lasting joy. The decision has been made. You are generous. Your Amen is all that is needed.
