Stewardship in Action: CCW Presents Gift to Parish

Father Al’s 25th Ordination Anniversary Celebration on May 15th was hosted by the ladies of our parish’s Council of Catholic Women (CCW). Julie Groh welcomed everyone to the event and introduced herself as the new CCW President for the 2016-2018 term. Philomena Krosmico (CCW President 2014-2016) then joined her on stage and explained how the CCW supports our parish community throughout year. She thanked everyone for the continuous support of their annual events  - the Christmas Bazzar and Rummage Sale. She explained how proceeds from all of their fundraising efforts are used to support initiatives within our Diocese as well as our parish.
 
Father Al then joined Julie and Philomena on stage to accept a very generous donation of $20,000 for the Heart of the Parish Fund. This contribution will be used for the renovation of the Chapel in the former convent once construction begins for new parish office space there.
 
Father graciously accepted the gift and thanked the ladies for all that they have done, and continue to do for our parish. Our gratitude is extended in the fullest to the CCW not only for this gift, but also for the countless hours that these women so humbly devote to our parish. They truly exemplify the virtue of Stewardship within our parish.
