Virginia Zimmerman (1938-2024) from a life well lived, our mom passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6th at the Hershey Medical Center.
Ginny was born in Steelton PA to Ivan and Catherine Gusic. She attended St. Mary’s School and is a graduate of Harrisburg Catholic/Bishop McDevitt High School. After high school, her first place of employment, and for many years, was at INA Insurance Co. Later in life, dad and mom operated a courier service which she continued to work until she was 84 years old. She loved it and was dedicated. Mom was a strong woman and a wonderful mother. A true friend, and a beacon of light to many. She will be missed. Ginny is survived by her daughters, Lori and husband Bob McClintock, MaryAnn Dayton, granddaughter Alexis and husband Chandler Watkins, grandson Zachary McClintock, and her great-grandson West McClintock Watkins. She was predeceased by her husband Dick Zimmerman. Her sisters, Sister Mary Perpetua,ASC, Helen Turns, and Josephine Peshina. Brothers, John, Frank, and Joseph Gusic. Half sisters Mary Catherine Knapp, and Ann Barlek. And, her son-in-law Dirk Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Hershey PA followed by a luncheon at the Hershey Italian Lodge. Visitation at the church will begin at 10:00am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name, to St. Joan Of Arc Catholic Church, 305 W.
