David Michael Lynch, 54, of Hummelstown, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in St. Marys, Pennsylvania on February 6, 1970, he is the son of the late Jeremiah and Sue Laird Lynch. Dave retired as an audiologist from the Lebanon VA Hospital. He earned his doctorate in audiology from Salus University, and his master’s from Penn State. Dave had a passion for craft beer and smoking meats and cheeses to share with his family and friends. He was a diehard Penn State football fan and loved to tailgate with friends before going into the games. One of his favorite places to be was camp. He enjoyed Halloween most and decorating his front yard. Dave’s greatest passion of all was his family and his “pals.” Dave is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Marie Carpin Lynch, whom he married on June 23, 2001; his loving daughters, Sydnee and Chloee Lynch who he adored and was so proud of; his siblings, Nancy McCloskey (James) of Kane, PA, Shawn Lynch (Diane) of Export, PA, and Judy Lynch (Andy Lecker) of Wilcox, PA; 3 nieces and 4 nephews; and 4 great-nephews and a great-niece. A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Friends are invited to the viewings on Thursday, October 10 in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Friday, October 11 in the church from 10 AM until the time of the service.
