Edward J. Kulina, Jr., 74, of Chambers Hill, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, in the Hershey Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on April 25, 1951, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Mary M. Lavin Kulina. Ed was a 1970 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School. He was the co-owner of the former Rosie’s East End Restaurant in Hummelstown and worked in maintenance for the Central Dauphin School District. Ed attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Hershey. He enjoyed walking through the streets of Hummelstown, gardening, all kinds of sports, and watching and attending sporting events especially Lower Dauphin baseball and football games. Most of all, Ed loved spending time with his family. Ed is survived by his sons, Stewart Kulina (Theresa) of Chambers Hill, Christopher Kulina (Angela) of Harrisburg, and Patrick Kulina of Wilkes-Barre; three grandchildren, Dominic, Alec and Delani; four siblings, James Kulina (Vicki) of Hummelstown, Sally Ann O’Rourke (Francis J.) of Palmyra, Mary F. Jurcisin (Thomas) of Cleveland, Ohio, and Kenneth J. Kulina (Kim) of Hershey; the mother of his children, Sharon Stewart Kulina of Hummelstown; his companion, Debbie Hefflefinger Pague of Harrisburg; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Kelly Kulina; and a sister, K. Jane Fegley. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 11 AM in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Interment will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery. Viewings will be held Monday, October 6, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, and in the church Tuesday from 10 AM until time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penn State Health, Palliative Care, P.O. Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033 or to St. Joan of Arc School, 1525 Sand Hill Road, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
