Gerald Stahl (1956-2025)

Gerald John "Jerry" Stahl, 68, of Lewistown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025 in Lemoyne, PA. Born on October 1, 1956, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Jerry lived a life marked by dedication to family, a strong work ethic, and an enduring love for sports and community.


Jerry pursued his education at Penn State Harrisburg, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. His professional journey reflected his commitment to service and financial stewardship. He began his career as a salesman with Hershey Entertainment and Resorts, where he shared his hometown pride with visitors from near and far. Later, he served as a Financial Manager at Northwest Consumer Discount Company, helping individuals navigate their financial needs with patience and care.


Throughout his life, Jerry was known for his kind heart and steady presence. He was deeply devoted to his family and found great joy in spending time with them. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara DeVita-Stahl; his cherished daughter, Kathryn “Katie” (Lee) Stover; and grandson Jack Martin Stover; his siblings Dr. Joseph Stahl; Margaret “Peggy” (John) Kundrat; Joan (Jeffrey) Pyles; nephew John (Megan) Kundrat Jr., and niece, Alexandra Kundrat.


Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Stahl, as well as his brother Martin “Marty” Stahl.


A passionate fan of Philadelphia sports teams, Jerry rarely missed a Phillies game or an Eagles matchup from the comfort of his home. He followed each season with unwavering loyalty. Golf was another of Jerry’s favorite pastimes-he enjoyed the challenge of the game and the camaraderie it brought. One of his greatest pleasures was visiting the Philadelphia suburbs to spend time with his daughter.


Those who knew Jerry will remember him for his warmth, generosity of spirit, and quiet strength. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched through both personal kindness and professional integrity.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.


May Gerald John "Jerry" Stahl’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Mass will be held on October 6th at 11:00 AM, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave. The family will begin receiving guests at 10:30AM.
He will be privately interred in the Hershey Cemetery.
