Janet Marie Soulliard, 88, passed away on July 4th, 2024 at Harmony of Hershey after a very long battle with breast cancer. She was born on April 15th, 1936, in Hershey, daughter of the late Guido and Filomena (Petrucci) Piergallini.
A life-long resident of Hershey, she was a graduate of Hershey Senior High School and retired from the American Cancer Society. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish and the Hershey Italian Lodge, and a volunteer at the Hershey Historical Society. While Janet’s greatest passion was family, she loved to bake, play tennis, garden, and socialize. Janet’s resilience, selflessness, and perpetual cheerfulness will forever be an inspiration to her family. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Richard Soulliard; daughter, Renee Soulliard, and her husband, Bert Burson; brother, James Piergallini; and granddaughters, Sienna and Emilia Burson. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her infant son, Daniel, and brother, Richard Piergallini. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Avenue, Hershey. The family will begin receiving guests at 10am. Interment will be at the Hershey Cemetery following the Mass. The family would like to thank her oncologist, Dr. Monali Vasekar, and her family physician, Dr. Timothy Riley, for their excellent care that kept Janet in their lives for so long. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
