John Evans (1951-2024)

John Edward Evans, 72, of  Palmyra, peacefully passed away on September 5, 2024 in his home.

He was born October 3, 1951 in Reading, PA, a son of the late Robert and Catherine (Purcell) Evans.

John received his B.A. in Economics from the former Allentown College. He retired from Ever Cleaning Enviromental, Inc. where he was a purchasing agent. Memberships include: St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church and its Knights of Columbus Council #6693 of Hershey.

Surviving is his wife, Kathryn (Faszcza) Evans; daughter, Maureen Rathod and husband, Jigar, of Smyrna, GA; son, Andrew Evans of Millbury, MA;  Granddaughter Natalya Rathod; sisters, Marie Ferro of Laureldale, PA and Sheila Mengel of Bethlehem, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Evans.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am on Wednesday, September 11th in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Visitation at the church will begin at 11:00am. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park in Annville.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 305 West Areba Ave., Hershey, PA 17033 .
