ildred M. Denan Stewart, 88, of West Hanover Township, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, in the UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Ocean City, New Jersey on September 12, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Carrie Vincent Denan. Mill was a 1954 graduate of Ocean City High School, then went on to attend Ryder College in Lawrence Township, New Jersey. She retired as an account manager from the former AMP, Inc. Mill was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church where she sang in its Contemporary Choir; and volunteered on the former Hummelstown Ambulance Crew. She loved spending time with her group of friends, especially for card club, game night, and bus trips. In addition to her parents, Mill was preceded in death by her husband, Richard P. Stewart, Jr. on August 25, 2014; and her brother, Thomas Denan, Jr. Mill is survived by her daughters, Gwen A Stewart (Kim A. Brink of Harrisburg), and Lee Anne Doman (Gary E. Miles) of Mountville; her granddaughter, Jennifer L. Lewis (David) of Haddon, New Jersey; two great-grandchildren, Elan Shai and Ayla Rae Lewis; and a sister, Pat Childers (Tom) of Oregon. A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11 AM in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Inurnment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 in the church from 10 AM until the time of the service.
