Patricia Winfield Cusack, 87, of Hershey passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Traditions of Hershey.
The daughter of Walter and Adelaide (Mentzinger) Winfield, she was born in Bell Harbor, NY on August 3 1938. She cherished her time in New York with her family and friends, as her many stories and tales revealed. Pat is survived by her son Tommy Cusack and Sharon McElroy of Fort Mill, SC; her son Bill Cusack and his wife Beth of Newtown, PA; her daughter Trish Anderson and her husband David of Hershey, PA; her grandchildren Erin Cusack, T.J. Cusack, Brianna Cusack, Lauren Cusack, Kristin Moppin, Taylor Moritz, Tegan Moritz and Karleigh Moritz; and her great-grandchildren Paizley Moppin, Severino Moreno and Delilah Moppin. And, all of the countless and dear friends who have been a part of the family and her life for many years. Pat was a lover of life, her family and the people who surrounded her to the end. In her lifetime Pat worked with children, as a teacher’s aide at Conewago Elementary and as a volunteer in the cuddler program in the NICU at the Hershey Medical Center. A lover of the water, especially the ocean, she adored spending time with family and friends at the log cabin at Medford Lakes and the beach house at Sea Isle City in New Jersey. A connoisseur of a fine box of wine, Pat enjoyed sipping the spirits on the back porch and dock, the kitchen table and the patio at the beach house with her family and friends and, most especially, during the much anticipated Hen Weekends. Pat’s thumb was the deepest shade of green. She loved to garden and she loved her flowers. She could grow plants and shrubs in all shapes and forms. She had a huge heart and great sympathies for animals in need, as she adopted several rescue dogs and immediately gave them the love they deserved. She would always fondly remember and recall the time spent with her husband Tom and their travels throughout the United States and throughout the world. And...all of those collectibles....we love you mom! Above all, Pat was dedicated to her Catholic faith, to the very end. She ardently served each church that she attended and devoted her life to Christ. A strong believer in prayer, Pat possessed an incredibly strong faith that guided her actions throughout the course of her lifetime. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Adelaide Hock and Joan Yax-Fox, and her husband Thomas F. Cusack Jr. May they be reunited in Heaven. A Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey, PA on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
