Peter Anthony Jones, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at the age of 61. He passed in the presence of his loving wife, Donna, at Linden Village in Lebanon.
He was born March 3, 1964 in York, PA, the sixth of seven children to the late Donald and Vera (Boczek) Jones. Peter was a graduate of York Catholic High School and received his B.S. in Accounting from York College of Pennsylvania. He went on to have an accomplished 38 year career as a mortgage loan officer, and was awarded many honors for his gift in sales. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey and an active member their Knights of Columbus Council #6693. He was also an active member and an officer of the West Shore Sertoma Club. Peter viewed his greatest accomplishment in life to being a devoted family man, he excelled in his role as husband, father and grandfather. Peter said “If I could live my life over again, I would spend more time with my family.” Peter also enjoyed downhill skiing, hiking, travel, fine dining and Phillies baseball. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to make people laugh and was always ready for a new adventure. He is survived by his wife, Donna Jones; daughter Hannah, husband Tyler and grandson Bode Schmittel; daughter Rachel Jones and husband Christian Poarch; daughter Sarah Jones; brother Bruce and wife Candy Nusbaum; sister Sue and husband Dale Widmayer; brother Jeff Jones; brother Dennis and wife Wendy Jones; sister Krista Jati. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Michael Nusbaum. Viewing will be Tuesday, July 29th from 5:00pm -7:00pm in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory in Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30th at 11:00am with a visitation beginning at 10:00am in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Knights of Columbus, St. Joan of Arc Council #6693, 305 West Areba Avenue, Hershey PA 17033 or West Shore Sertoma Club, 146 Sheraton Drive, New Cumberland PA 17070.
