Ruth E. Wieger Miller, 83, of Hershey, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Harrisburg on November 10, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert L. and Edna S. Sisley Wieger. Ruth was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. She retired from Maryland Casualty Insurance where she served as an accountant, then worked for Hartman Toyota in accounting. Ruth was an excellent cook and made the best chicken pot pie. She was also known for her sand tarts. Ruth enjoyed taking care of her many cats, but most of all, taking care of her husband and family was her greatest passion. Ruth is survived by her husband, Keith L. Miller; her son, Michael A. Miller (Dorothy) of Hummelstown; four grandchildren, Shannon Gingrich (Ryon) of Palmyra, Daniel Miller of Hershey, Matthew Miller of Middletown, and Leah Miller Rodenberger (Austin) of Lansdale; two great grandchildren, Aidyn and Braden Gingrich with one more on the way; and her sister, Helen Wieger of Harrisburg. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Megoulas. A viewing will be held in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown on December 16, 2025, from 10 AM to 11 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11:30 AM in the Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
