Sylvia Sachette (1937 - 2016)

Sylvia Searfoss Sachette, 78, of Hershey, died peacefully on May 3, 2016 from complications of rheumatoid arthritis. Sylvia was born as a Christmas gift in 1937 to her parents, Warren H. and Elizabeth Searfoss of South Williamsport, PA.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, John A., whom she affectionately called "Sparky" ; her two children, Kelly and her husband Greg McCarty of Owings Mills, MD and Burke Sachette of Hershey; sister, Patricia S. Turnbull of Farmville, VA, and brother, Warren H. Searfoss, Jr. of Plymouth, MA, a cherished grandson, Maximo ("Max") McCarty; several nieces, nephews and very dear friends. She touched the lives of so many children as teacher where she considered them hers; these names are too numerous to mention but they were her family as well.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, May 9th in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hershey. Visitation will be from Noon until time of service. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery.
