Anne Marie Jallon, 78, of Hummelstown, passed away on January 13, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Taken too soon, as she had such a zest for life. Anne-Marie spent her life building and nurturing a close-knit family that extends far and wide across generations of extended family. Anne-Marie was so talented, artistic in every way and a phenomenal cook. She was at her best and happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She also loved to travel and, in her lifetime, had the opportunity to go to so many gorgeous places. She was so warm, charismatic, and enchanting to all who had the privilege of meeting her and getting to know her.
She was born May 5, 1945 in St. Claude, France, daughter of the late Basile and Denise Tacchini. While in France, Anne Marie was a registered nurse. She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the Mortel Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Anne-Marie is survived by her husband, Philippe Jallon; daughters, Annabel Ries and Valerie Crouse; brother Bruno Tacchini in France; grandchildren, Julien Tacchini, Mariam Gogola and Emma and Luc Ries; and great grandchild, Olivier Gogola. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 20th at 1PM in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave. in Hershey. The family will begin receiving guests at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to High Hopes for Haiti, the Ronald McDonald House, or plant a tree in honor of her.
