Our parish's Arimathea Ministry is named for Joseph of Arimathea who took Jesus' body from the cross and buried it in his own tomb. Members of this ministry attend funeral Masses of St. Joan of Arc parishioners to represent the parish and to give support to the family of the deceased through their presence.
Volunteer Information:
Those who sign up for this ministry are volunteering to attend the funeral Mass of parishioners as they are able. You would be notified when there is a funeral in the church and if you are able, you would attend and represent the St. Joan of Arc Parish family in supporting the family of the deceased with your presence. If you are often available during the day and could sometimes attend a funeral in the parish, please consider volunteering. It would be a prime opportunity to practice one of the Corporal Works of Mercy: To bury the dead. If interested or if you have questions, please contact Bob & Ann Petkovsek. |
