Greetings from our Council President, Mary Ann King Welcome to the St. Joan of Arc Council of Catholic Women! As President for the 2026-28 term, I encourage you to participate in our CCW chapter. There are many opportunities for you to participate from attending our monthly meetings to volunteering to help at one of our events such as the annual Rummage Sale, the Christmas Bazaar, Lenten Luncheon, or parish receptions. You will meet and interact with many wonderful women; some you may already know or you may make some new friends. We are a welcoming group and have a fun time together, even when we are working hard at one of our events! Our mission is to support each other, our parish and many of its ministries, our community, and some national and international projects. Proceeds from our fundraisers are donated back to the Parish and the St. Joan of Arc School. We also sponsor two students in Haiti, send cards to our parishioners who are shut-ins and support many other community and diocesan charities. Our CCW also enriches members spiritually-we start and end every meeting with a prayer, say the rosary before some meetings and pray for our parishioners. We also have an annual Mass we all attend, followed by a Communion Breakfast at which an inspirational speaker presents. There are also opportunities to participate in retreats with varied topics. We are members of the Harrisburg District CCW and the National Council of Catholic Women. We follow the mission of our National CCW which is to support, empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service. September 10th 6:00 PM in the Parish Social HallOur annual kick off meeting to start the year. We will have a pot luck dinner. CCW will supply the main dish, plates, napkins, cups and cutlery, and drinks. Please bring your appetite and a dish to share. Enjoy great fellowship and food. See old friends and meet new. Feel free to invite a woman friend or relative, we welcome new attendees. We have invited the Guitars for Vets Group to join us for dinner and will hear some delightful music.
Saint Joan CCW prayer group - every Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the Saint Lucy Chapel in the Parish OfficeThe CCW Prayer Group prays the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the sick, terminally ill and dying. Jesus presented the Divine Mercy Chaplet to Saint Faustina in 1935 during private revelation. Jesus asks that we meditate upon His Passion at 3 O'clock p.m. which is the hour He died on the cross. At Saint Joan of Arc we pray the Chaplet in the Saint Lucy Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday's. Please feel free to join us in this beautiful ministry. October 8th, 6:00 PM Regular Monthly CCW Meeting
We will meet in the SJA church to recite the Rosary in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary followed by our regular monthly meeting in the Social Hall.
