Greetings from our Council President, Mary Ann King Welcome to the St. Joan of Arc Council of Catholic Women! As President for the 2024-26 term, I encourage you to participate in our CCW chapter. There are many opportunities for you to participate from attending our monthly meetings to volunteering to help at one of our events such as the annual Rummage Sale, the Christmas Bazaar, Lenten Luncheon, or parish receptions. You will meet and interact with many wonderful women; some you may already know or you may make some new friends. We are a welcoming group and have a fun time together, even when we are working hard at one of our events! Our mission is to support each other, our parish and many of its ministries, our community, and some national and international projects. Proceeds from our fundraisers are donated back to the Parish and the St. Joan of Arc School. We also sponsor two students in Haiti, send cards to our parishioners who are shut-ins and support many other community and diocesan charities. Our CCW also enriches members spiritually-we start and end every meeting with a prayer, say the rosary before some meetings and pray for our parishioners. We also have an annual Mass we all attend, followed by a Communion Breakfast at which an inspirational speaker presents. There are also opportunities to participate in retreats with varied topics. We are members of the Harrisburg District CCW and the National Council of Catholic Women. We follow the mission of our National CCW which is to support, empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service. Review our 2024-25 Calendar of Events here and join us at any of our meetings, events and activities. Bring a friend or family member as we welcome new members. May God continue to bless you!
