LITTLE ROCK SCRIPTURE STUDY RESUMES ON SEPTEMBER 15
You are invited to join the Little Rock Scripture Study group for our next study starting on September 15, meeting weekly until mid-December. We meet in the St. Lucy house on Tuesday mornings following the 9am Mass. The first couple of sessions we will review a book called “Cultural Tools for Interpreting the Good News”. Then the main study this fall is “The Way of Justice and Peace”, a study to help us reflect on God's call to holiness and our response, the requirements of discipleship, and the lasting rewards of following the way of justice and peace. The study examines the teaching and ministry of Jesus; and the call, life and message of several Old Testament prophets. This study will provide insights into the consistent concern for justice in the Bible, as well as stirring one's conscience. It provides opportunities to explore how we and our communities of faith respond to the needs of others. Connie Egan, Director of Religious Education, is ordering the study materials, which can be picked up from the parish office a couple weeks before we start.
