The mission of our Living Our Faith ministry is to form, inform, and transform people by offering programs, speakers, and trips (i.e. immersion experiences in the vineyard) that broaden our horizons and add depth to our understanding of social justice issues.
We focus on the seven themes of social justice, all of which are rooted in poverty, as we hope to build a more just and peaceful world. Our participants frequently feel a sense of an adult Confirmation as they acquire a new ability to understand the teachings of our Church and speak up for what is right. As our programming advances, our participants find new ways to explain the root causes of injustice and begin to feel comfortable doing so. Our programs encourage us to fulfill our God-given mandate to care for and love, serve, and defend all people, our earth and our world; and to truly LIVE our Catholic faith. |
