Choir
The choir is actively seeking to increase the number of members for the 2018-2019 year. All voice parts are needed at this time. High school and college students are more than welcome to participate as their individual schedules permit. Choir regularly sings at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Mass in addition to special holy days and liturgies throughout the year. Rehearsals are scheduled Thursday evenings, 7:00-8:30, September through early May.
Resurrection Choir
The Resurrection Choir is composed of volunteers who, as their individual schedules allow, participate in the funeral liturgies at St. Joan of Arc. The function of the Resurrection Choir is to lead and support the singing of those in attendance at funeral Masses. Beginning in September, Resurrection Choir will rehearse twice monthly on specified Tuesday mornings. Attendance at these rehearsals is not mandatory and always at the discretion of the individual.
Cantors
Cantors lead the singing at Sunday and holyday liturgies. The main function of the cantor is to proclaim the Responsorial Psalm from the ambo and chant the verse of the Gospel Acclamation. Assistance is always available to cantors both in learning new music and reviewing what is familiar. Cantors are scheduled as their time permits.
Schola Cantorum
This select group of nine singers represents the various parish music groups. The Schola provides music for special liturgies such as 40 Hours Devotion, the Parish Mission, and sings on occasion for 10:30 Mass.
