Our children are of primary concern and responsibility. As a parish community, we reach out to pass the faith onto our children through our: Religious Education Program, Youth Ministry, and Catholic School. The Mustard Seed Fund was established to help support these programs and benefit the faith formation of youth in our parish by offering supplemental support which allows us to implement innovative ideas and projects as the opportunities arise.

The History of the Mustard Seed Fund
At the very heart of our parish community is Jesus Christ. We exist as a parish community with the primary mission of passing on the faith, the truth of Jesus Christ. Passing on the faith, the truth of Jesus Christ is our primary mission and there are many ways in which we can be faithful to this mission.
Our children are of primary concern and responsibility. As a parish community, we reach out to pass the faith onto our children through our Religious Education Program (REP), Youth Ministry and Catholic School. These programs of the parish are supported by a combination of both volunteers and paid employees. The funds needed to support these programs and begin to implement innovative ideas are increasing beyond our normal sources of income. The name "Mustard Seed Fund" was chosen carefully. The parable of the Mustard Seed seems appropriate because we are planting seeds of our Catholic Faith in our children knowing that God will allow it to flourish and that the future of our faith, our parish, and the Church rests in the branches that will grow from the tiniest seed. |
