The History of this project

In February of 2014 one of our parishioners, Jeffrey Hahn, sadly passed away. Jeff was a devoted family man who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his wife and children. As an avid sports fan, he loved to coach.

Jeff's family chose to honor his life by establishing the Jeffrey Hahn Memorial Fund. The purpose of this fund is to raise the money needed to upgrade the gym floor here at St. Joan of Arc. Many thoughtful contributions were received in Jeff's memory. The children from the school also raised over $18,000 through their Race for Education to contribute to this cause.

 We are now very close to raising the remainder of the funds needed to complete this project.

Jeff left a legacy as a coach, and each time the CYO basketball teams enter the gym to practice or the school has a gym class, that legacy will be remembered through the gift of this gym floor.

Update: It's A New Floor!

January 30, 2015: The new gym floor is officially completed! The flooring is a product of Gerflor® and is one of the finest in the synthetic flooring industry. We are very grateful for all the support received so far to help cover the cost of the floor. Funds are still needed for the remaining balance.

There are new rules for the use of the gym floor to ensure we do not void our warranty. You can read them here.
