Growing Into Christ through Stewardship & Development

Summary: Stewardship isn't all about money, but it would be wrong to say it does not involve money. Everything we have is a gift from God - we are simply "keepers" of the gifts. We have an obligation not simply to keep our gifts locked up, but to invest them, so that when He returns He will be pleased with our stewardship. How can we develop a mindset that makes us want to serve joyously and tithe generously? Will we do our part to improve parish facilities and strengthen our parish ministries so our parish can truly thrive?

Mission: The mission of the Stewardship and Development Commission is to encourage the great majority of St. Joan of Arc parishioners to serve actively, strengthen parish ministries and give generously to improve our parish facilities and programs, enabling our parish to truly thrive.

Future Goals: In the coming years, we plan to hire a Stewardship and Development Director for our parish to support us in implementing our expanding stewardship and development program. Then, we plan to develop new ministries in the following areas of focus: Communications Ministry, Heart to Serve Ministry, Parish Tithing Ministry, Capital Support Ministry, Endowment & Planned Giving Ministry.

2014 Achievements

The great majority of St. Joan of Arc parishioners are serving actively and giving generously to improve parish facilities and strengthen parish ministries, enabling the parish to truly thrive.

2013 Achievements

This commission initiated a successful Capital Campaign in 2012 to fund improvements to the church and school planned to be completed for the 50th anniversary of our beautiful Church. We also engaged nearly 100 parishioners to become new members of current parish ministries through our Heart to Serve program. Within the year we also hired a Stewardship & Development Director to support the programs within this commission.
