Pilgrim Cross Renamed "Vocations Cross"
7-17-2018: Beginning on Monday, July 23, the SJA Pilgrim Cross will fall under the Vocations Ministry and be renamed "Vocations Cross”. Although this program has been in our parish for almost 20 years, you may not be familiar with it. The Vocations Ministry invites families and individuals to visit the website or call the parish office to sign up to take the Vocations Cross and prayer book home for 1 week to pray for vocations. Parish Staff Changes - July 2018
6-28-2018: A special thank you to Marcie Warner who is leaving as DRE this month. She did a great job with Vacation Bible School. While Marcie will not be employed here, she assured me that we she will volunteer and help Earl Tropp, our new full-time DRE. We welcome Eileen Rusnack as our new Coordinator of Parish Ministries. Eileen will start this month and while she will be working just roughly ten hours a week, I know she will be a great asset in organizing, facilitating and assessing the many ministries we have in our parish! Welcome, Eileen!
Pastoral Council Changes - July 2018
6-28-2018: Our sincerest gratitude is extended to the these parishioners who have faithfully served in the role of Pastoral Council member during their terms that recently came to an end in June: Diane Sheehan, John Phillippy, Brian Deiling, and Chuck Stickler.

Pilgrimage to Basilica - Save the Date: November 3, 2018
6-21-2018: As part of the 150th Anniversary of the Harrisburg Diocese, Bishop Ronald Gainer will lead a Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D. C. The day will include the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with the Most Reverend Ronald Gainer as celebrant and homilist, Eucharistic Adoration, Most Holy Rosary, Sacrament of Penance as well as free time for lunch, private prayer, shopping at the Shrine Gift shop and self-guided tours of the Basilica. St. Joan of Arc will be sponsoring a bus. More details will follow. Trip details available here
Name Change: Holy Family Center Now Saint Joseph Center
6-21-2018: Name Change for Holy Family Center - Our new meeting spaces in the former parish office area was recently named the “Holy Family Center”. Due to concern about potential confusion with the “cry room” in the church (which is named the “Holy Family Chapel”), the new meeting space has been renamed the “Saint Joseph Center”. Centennial Project Update from Father Al
4-20-2018: From Father Al - We submitted our plans and drawings to the diocese this past week to gain permission to move ahead with our Centennial Project. The Diocesan Building Committee will meet on May 1st to review the plans and the College of Consultors (one of the bishop’s advisory councils, of which I am a member) will meet on May 17th. We should have our answers about when and how to proceed from there. The plans look good and I will be presenting them in the near future to the parish.
Notice of Change: Monthly Blood Pressure Screenings
4-13-2018: Beginning in May the Nurse Ministry will no longer be offering blood pressure screenings following the Saturday evening Vigil Mass. Blood pressure screenings are held in the Library on the first Sunday of the month (unless it is a holiday weekend and then it will be the second Sunday) after these Masses: 7:30 am, 9:00 am, and 10:30 am.
Inclement Weather Protocol
2-8-2018: In the event of inclement weather, the parish will follow the schedule of St. Joan of Arc School for all delays and closings.If the school is closed, the Parish office and all facilities will also be closed with all scheduled events/meetings being cancelled.

Volunteers Needed for Transportation:
11-17-2017: We are looking for a few kind volunteers who are willing to provide transportation to fellow parishioners on occasion for Mass, doctor’s appointments, or the grocery store. Frequently our priests celebrate a private Mass in the rectory. If you have an intention that you would like to have them celebrate, but would not be present for, please contact the parish office.
Mass Intentions for 2018 may be scheduled beginning Tuesday, October 24th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Parish Office.
