You would be notified when there is a funeral in the church and if you are able, you would attend and would be representing the St. Joan of Arc Parish family and supporting the family of the deceased by your presence. If you are often available during the day and could sometimes attend a funeral in the parish, please consider volunteering. Volunteers Needed: Come Sit With Us At Mass!
1-25-2018: Ever wonder what we’re like – those well-dressed young people who sit as a group at 10:30 Mass? We’re there without parents or families because we live at a boarding school in Hershey – the Milton Hershey School. We’re of different ages and interests. We love playing soccer or watching the Super Bowl. We love reading, or sometimes we struggle with reading. Some of us love to sing, and some of us think singing is, well, something we don’t do. We want to be strong in our faith, but sometimes we’re not so sure. At times we have questions, trying to piece together what’s true and what isn’t, trying to understand the Catholic Faith in a non-Catholic world. Mostly, we want to be loved and accepted. What are we like? Come and see! Come sit with us at Mass. Call Fran Shiffler at (717)566-0675.

Scheduling 2018 Mass Intentions
9-24-2017: Starting on October 6th, we will have our First Friday Exposition in the Saint Lucy Chapel in the new Parish Center. Immediately after the nine o’clock Mass we will gather in the chapel and expose the Blessed Sacrament. We will continue with Evening Prayer and Prayer for the Sick at 7:00 pm and Night Prayer at 9:45 pm. We will do this during October, November and December and then assess how it is working for the new year. There are two reasons why we are doing this: first, the chapel is a much more intimate space and, second, there are times when no one is in the church when the Blessed Sacrament is on the altar which is strictly forbidden by the Church. In the Parish Center, there are people around all the time which is necessary for prolonged adoration.
First Friday Eucharistic Adoration - Change in Location
Mass Intentions for 2018 may be scheduled beginning Tuesday, October 24th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Parish Office.
Option For Mass Intentions
5-25-2017: Frequently our priests celebrate a private Mass in the rectory. If you have an intention that you would like to have them celebrate, but would not be present for, please contact the parish office.
The "Road to Kindness" Program

You can read more about this program on our website here
3-29-2017: The weekly parish bulletin is a primary source of communication for our parishioners. Bulletin Sponsorships are an essential part of allowing us to continue to offer this weekly news without additional financial obligations to the parish. If you run or are involved in a local business, please prayerfully consider this opportunity. More information is available here
Volunteer Opportunity: Spring Creek Manor
10/18/2016: For over 40 years parishioners of SJA have been visiting the Dauphin City Home (Spring Creek) during which they serve coffee, cookies and, more importantly, love. This ministry visits the home every Friday after attending 9:00 Mass. Each volunteer is assigned one Friday a month. Many of our volunteers have either passed away or have become too elderly to continue. Please consider joining us in this very important ministry while fulfilling the work of mercy of "visiting the sick". The patients look forward to and anxiously await our visits (oftentimes we are the only visitors they receive). For more information, contact Delores Euker at 566-1092.

NEW Ministry Communication Pages!
When we began the endeavor of developing a new website, one of the primary objectives was to find a platform that would allow us the opportunity to give each individual ministry their own page on our website. We are thrilled at how well this notion is being received. If you lead a ministry that does not yet have a Ministry Page up, please contact Jackie Abel in the parish office.
