“If you are called by name, you should be prayed for by name”
Next weekend, the Vocations Ministry will have Seminarian Prayer Packets available for individuals and families who will agree to pray for one seminarian BY NAME daily. Each packet has the name and basic information about one of our 26 Harrisburg Seminarians, the journey to priesthood, and what a typical Day in the Life of a seminarian is like. This is a great opportunity for families to learn more about vocations. Please prayerfully consider adopting a seminarian as part of your daily prayers. What is Priesthood Sunday? Priesthood Sunday is a special day set aside to honor the priesthood in the United States. It is a day to reflect upon and affirm the role of the priesthood in the life of the Church. The Vocations Ministry team invites you to celebrate Priesthood Sunday on October 28th. This is a good opportunity to show your appreciation and support to our priests. After the 9:00 am and 10:30 am masses, our priests will greet parishioners in the cafeteria and share refreshments. Materials will be available for children to make cards or pictures for our priests. “Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” Should the Lord direct these words to you in prayer, how will you respond? As a priest or in the consecrated life? Talk to Father Al or Father Brian Wayne, Director of Vocations, at (717) 657-4804 or [email protected].
