We are at the start of our beautiful Advent Season! This is such a special time in our church year and one that connects perfectly into our Kindness Program. We are excited to commence our second annual Advent Kindness Program. Included in this week’s bulletin is an Advent Kindness Calendar that highlights 25 Acts of Kindness for you to consider during this special season. There are extra calendars in the back of the church and the calendar can be accessed on the St. Joan of Arc website. The Kindness Acts can be done individually or as a family. As you participate, the beauty of Advent Season will brighten your hearts and the hearts of those who are the receiving your kindness! Kindness calendars, special kindness activities, and gifts are also being coordinated at our school as well as our REP, Life Teen, and Edge programs. Our students will be handing out Advent kindness cards after each mass this weekend. These cards are a kindness gift on behalf of the Anthony R. Bellezza Memorial. Please take a few and spread kindness throughout our community! As you listen to the sermons this weekend, become inspired and show someone that you care: this is God’s Way! The Road to Kindness starts with you this Advent Season! Embrace kindness this season and it will become contagious! Blessings to you! Enjoy this wonderful Advent Season and have a week filled with kindness! Please share your kindness acts or those you observe here. Also, download our kindness calendar below.

We want to wish everyone the very best for the Thanksgiving holiday this coming Thursday!
We are so very thankful for everyone in our parish! We are also so thankful for the way that you have embraced our Kindness Program! We are helping to change the world by following God’s Way – “The Road to Kindness.” Thanksgiving is a special time for sharing – sharing our food, sharing our time, sharing a hug and sharing a smile! There are still many people that are seeking shelter or food on this Thanksgiving. Consider sharing your time at a local food bank, visiting those who cannot leave their house, or those who reside in an assisted living facility. We have so much for which to be thankful. Let’s share our time this Thanksgiving with those who need it! Many members from our parish have told us that they plan to do a special family kindness act this holiday! This is so wonderful to hear! Thank you and let your hearts be filled with kindness this Thanksgiving! Blessings to you! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and a week filled with kindness! November 13 is “World Kindness Day!” This is a day to be kind and to do Acts of Kindness!
“World Kindness Day was created in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, a conglomeration of kindness organizations around the world. This unofficial holiday encourages people to be kind to each other and spread happiness, joy, and peace through kindness. Kindness is considered a virtue and is valued in most societies, and religion has an important quality. Kindness is the act of being considerate, compassionate, and empathetic towards other people and living beings.” How can you celebrate “World Kindness Day?”
God’s Way – “The Road to Kindness” at work again! This time, God’s Way is touching everyone around the entire world! Blessings to you! Have a wonderful World Kindness Day on November 13 and a week filled with kindness! |
