Obituary of Richard SettinoRichard Settino, 90, of Hummelstown, and formerly of Steelton, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at home. Born on July 6, 1929 in Steelton, the son of the late Rocco and Maria Carricato Settino.
Richard was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp., where he worked 42 years in the Rail Mill. He was a veteran of US Army and served during the Korean War. During his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and competitive archery. He was a lifelong Notre Dame fan. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey and also a member of the Hershey Italian Lodge, Rutherford VFW, and Lawnton American Legion. Richard was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Brandt) Settino and his second wife, Bonnie (Dougas) Settino. Surviving are his sons, Dr. David Lee Settino and wife, Anita and Michael A. Settino and wife, Denise; his step-son, Michael Dougas and his step-daughter, Stephanie Harper and husband, Thomas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Donna Yazinski, Antonio LiBrandi, Sarah Harper, Meghan Settino and Alyson Settino, as well as his great grandchildren, Mariah LiBrandi, Matthew Marinak, Lauren Yazinski, and Alyssa Yazinski. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 am in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey with Rev. Kenneth Roth, Parochial Vicar, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in his church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Steelton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joan of Arc Parish, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey, PA 17033 (make a contribution here) or Humane Society of Greater Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17111.
