Joseph Bernard “JoeB” Gray Jr., 51, of Hershey passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. JoeB was a graduate of Hershey High School. He is survived by his wife, Randa (Shiber) Gray and father, Joseph Gray Sr. He was preceded in death by his: mother Patricia, brother Brian and sister Valerie. He was the proud owner of Bernie’s Guitars in Hershey.
JoeB loved his music, cars, and dirt bikes. He was a drummer who was in many bands throughout his life. He had a peaceful laid-back style but was also known for his funny antics. He will be deeply forever missed by his wife and his cats Morty and Biggie. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. The family will receive guests prior to Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 88 Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Nello J. Fratti, 96, of Elizabethtown, formerly a 45-year resident of Hershey, passed away on January 19, 2018 at the Masonic Village, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 24, 1921 in Old Forge, PA, son of the late Attilio and Righetta (Mascolini) Fratti. Nello graduated from the Milton Hershey Industrial School; attended Seton Hall University, was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of WW II; and retired from the Lebanon VA Medical Center where he was the Director of Recreation. His memberships include: St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where he ushered for many years; the Hershey Italian Lodge; and the Hummelstown VFW Post 1687. He loved watching sports, playing basketball, attending musical and dance productions, traveling, and offering guidance to those in need. Nello always enjoyed ushering at church and never missed an opportunity to share a smile and a laugh. Nello is survived by: his wife, Katherine M. "Kitty" (Curry) Fratti, of Elizabethtown; son, John P. Fratti of Hummelstown; daughter, Kathi (Chris) Noyes of Seabrook, TX; daughter; Carol (John Jr.) Kinloch of Ellicott City, MD; grandchildren, Kati and William Noyes and Ryan & Joshua Kinloch; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: brothers, Philip Sr., Quinto, Emilio, Attilio and Peter Fratti, sisters, Irene Pennini, Ida Lucarelli & Henrietta Barbetti. A visitation will be held Friday, February 2, 2018, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 88 Lucy Ave., Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. Herman, 94, formerly of Hershey, passed away on January 21, 2018 in the Gardens at Campbelltown.
She was born August 3, 1923 in Hershey, daughter of the late Fortunado and Sylvia (DiCola) Loffreda. Yolanda was a retired employee of the Hershey Chocolate Company and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Hershey. Yolanda was the widow of William R. Murray, Sr. and John Herman. Surviving are her sons, Barry L. (Beverly) Murray of Hershey and William R.(Dorothy) Murray, Jr. of Lake Elmo, MN; 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Loffreda; sisters, Sylvia Sardino, Edith Perekovic and Mary Castelli Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11:00am in her church at 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. She was born in Hershey and resided there her entire life.
Surviving are her son Ted (Liz) Moore of Hershey, daughter Julie (Al) D’Amore-Davis of Utah, grandsons John (fiancée Cara) Moore and Jesse Moore, sister Vilma Gunnells, sister-in-law Selina Leoni, and many other family members who she adored. In addition to her husband, Norma was predeceased by brothers Frank, Spar, baby Settimo Leoni, and sister Leda Custer. Norma worked in the cafeteria of St. Joan of Arc School and retired from Reese’s. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc and the Hershey Italian Lodge. Her kitchen was the center of her home where she made family and friends feel welcomed and loved. Norma’s sharp mind enjoyed endless card games, bingo, and trips to the casino. We will miss her smile and twinkling eyes. A memorial mass will be celebrated in her church on Wednesday, January 24th at 11:00 am. She was born June 18, 1940 in Lebanon, daughter of the late Joseph Spesak and Genevieve Tatar. Patricia graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School and retired from The Hershey Co., after many years of numerous roles at Hershey's Chocolate World. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the Hershey Italian Lodge; as well as an active resident of Riverwood Community in Port Charlotte, FL, where she and Robert would spend the winter. She enjoyed playing games like BUNCO and shopping. Her family was her life. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them. Pat is survived by; husband, Robert V. Carter of Hershey; children: Lisa Pavone (Richard) Young of Middletown, William Jeffrey Pavone, Debra Carter (Sheldon) Ames, Robert L. (Cathie) Carter, Linda Lee Carter (Doug) House, David Andrew (Jinny) Carter; grandchildren: Samantha J., Sara R., and Richard A. Young, Jr., Quinn J. Pavone, Marcus Whitfield, Logan & Jordan Ames, Keith, Sean, & Jack Carmack, Annie and Peyton Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Joseph P. Pavone and also an infant brother Joseph. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening, January 24, 2018 from 6 - 8PM and Thursday morning from 10 - 11AM, in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 88 Lucy Ave, Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:30 AM in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. She was born August 29, 1947 in Hershey, daughter of the late Joseph and Osmida (Fromboluti) Martin. Dina graduated from Hershey High School and had also attended HACC. She had worked for both the former AMP Inc. and HERCO and had retired in September. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey. Dina is survived by; son, Joseph O. Mishler and his wife Angela of Hummelstown; daughter, Geri Moose and her husband Ray of Hershey; grandson, Joseph O. Mishler II; and granddaughters, Abagael Mishler, and Rebecka and Jillian Moose; sister, Josette Little; and numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: grandparents, Ovidio and Nardina Frombolutti; and aunt & uncle, Elise and Pete Rappoli. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 2PM in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory of Hershey. The family will begin receiving guests at 1PM.
