Santina “Sandy” Marra, formerly of Hummelstown and Broomall, PA, passed away on November 5, 2023 at age 90. She will be remembered as a thoughtful, generous and strong woman.
She was born Santina Cipolla in Fara San Martino, Chieti, Italy in 1933. She immigrated to Philadelphia after WWII with her mother, Nunzia Cipolla; sister, Maria Cipolla Schiavone; and her brother, Joseph Cipolla to be reunited with their father, Nicola Cipolla. Santina was married to Thomas Marra in 1958 and they had three children, Therese who is married to Brian Callaghan; Tom who is married to Gail Verge, and Paul who is married to Tracy Smith Marra of Hummelstown. Santina was widowed at the age of 39 and took joy in raising her three children who gave her seven grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren brought her happiness. Nonna, as she was known by them, was very proud of her family. She had an amazing joy for life and will be missed by all that were blessed to have her in their lives. Santina worked as a Retail Sales Associate at House of Bargains and at Acme Markets in Delaware County, PA and took pleasure in knowing her customers. She also enjoyed baking pies at a local retail bakery. She loved cooking Italian foods such as gnocchi, meatballs and pizzelle which were enjoyed by so many friends and family. Among her other talents was her green thumb for gardening and neighbors would admire her beautiful plants and flowers. She was an avid crocheter and made countless blankets and scarves that are keeping many warm today. Recently, she crocheted blankets for veterans and babies in the hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday November 11th, 2023 at the St Joan of Arc Catholic Church located at 359 West Areba Ave, Hershey, PA 17033. Visitations will be Friday, November 10th from 4-6PM with recitation of the Rosary at 4:00pm in The Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory in Hershey as well as from 10:30-11:00am at the church on Saturday. A gathering celebrating Santina’s life will be held immediately after the funeral mass at the Hershey Italian Lodge located at 128 Hillcrest Rd, Hershey, PA 17033. Private interment will be in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 305 West Areba Avenue, Hershey PA 17033

Audrey J. (Zeigler) Devine, 99, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Capitol Rehab Center in Harrisburg.
She was born in Goldsboro on January 22, 1924, the daughter of Clyde O. and Josephine (Pfisterer) Zeigler. She was predeceased by husband, Harry F. Devine; brother Leon Zeigler; and grandchild James T Midkiff II. She became the Matriarch of our family after the death of our father in 1983. Audrey is survived by three daughters; Karen Midkiff, and her husband, James, Deborah Devine and her husband, Fred, and Sharon Wilmarth; a son Harry F. Devine, II and his wife, Carolyn; and sister Delores Fiorani. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Joshua Kwiatkowski ( Kelly), Megan Devine, Austin Wilmarth (Christen), Amanda Iarossi (Jason), and Harry F Devine III, as well as five step grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; (Jordan Devine being the first, and who got to inherit Grandma’s prized Geo Metro), and several nieces and nephews. She retired from the former CCNB bank in New Cumberland and was a member of St Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Joan of Arc Church, 359 W. Areba Ave. Hershey on Tuesday, November 14th at 11AM. The family will begin receiving guests at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp. John Mihalik, 88, of Hershey, passed away on October 31, 2023 in the Hershey Medical Center. He was born April 27, 1935 in Wilkes Barre, a son of the late Michael and Mary (Yeager) Mihalik. John earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Villanova in 1957, his MBA from Drexel University in 1968 and a Professional Engineers Certificate in 1981. He was employed at FMC Corporation until 1976 when he relocated to take a position at Hershey Foods until his retirement in 1999. Growing up he enjoyed playing all sports. He received an offer by the Philadelphia Athletics in 1954 to play Minor League baseball. John also enjoyed music and played a number of instruments. He was involved in various musical groups in school, town and then singing in the choir at St. Joan of Arc Church. He was involved in numerous community activities including Meals on Wheels, hospital volunteer and Catholic Charities. John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Loretta France Mihalik; son, Joseph (Christina) Mihalik of Hershey, daughter, Theresa (Elio) Gould of Collegeville; grandchildren, Andrew and Lily Gould; twin brother, James Mihalik of Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. Visitation will be from Noon until 1:00pm at the church on Wednesday. Private interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Heart of the Parish Fund, c/o St. Joan of Arc Church. 305 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033. Robert "Bob" Stephen Robenseifner, 93, of Hershey, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023.
He was born June 27, 1930, in Harrisburg, son of the late Frank and Anna (Shoggy) Robenseifner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Grace (Day) Robenseifner and four siblings. Bob is survived by his daughter, Lisa Robenseifner and her husband, Larry Albert of Ashburn, VA, two grandsons, Josh and Jacob Albert of Virginia, two great grandsons, Orion and Jaylen, and several dear nieces and nephews. Bob was the quintessential optimist and enjoyed travel, classical music and opera, automobiles, quality time spent with friends, and dining with those he loved. Bob was a proud Marine and served his country during the Korean War. Bob was a graduate of Drake University and had a distinguished career working in the Federal Civil Service at the US Department of Energy and the Government Accountability Office, and as a Diplomat at the United Nations in Vienna, London and Paris. His passion for Austria was obvious by his extensive classical and opera music collection and in his artwork and library and he traveled to Austria frequently in retirement to visit his many friends and colleagues. He was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees where he served as the local chapter President for many years. A visitation will be held Monday, November 6, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM, at the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, 88 Lucy Ave, Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 12:00 PM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment with military honors will take place on Wednesday November 8, 2023, at 1:30 PM, at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pennsylvania. Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory of Hershey is handling the arrangements. |
