Surrounded by his loving family, Thomas Lynn Nolt, 84, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2017 in the Church of God Nursing Home, Carlisle Pa.
Thomas was born in Strausstown, PA, on July 1, 1932 to Arthur H. and Pauline (Longsderff) Nolt and was raised in Lititz. Preceding him in death were brothers Arthur Nolt Jr of Texas, Reginald Nolt of Conestoga, and sister Pauline Kamm of Lititz. He is survived by his older brother Richard Nolt and wife Lin Yin of Lancaster, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Tom enlisted in the Army after high school and met his wife, Marion Rose Skotek, during that time. Happily married for almost 60 years, they resided in Hershey where Tom was employed by G.R. Sponaugle and Sons for over 35 dedicated years as a Superintendent in the electrical and plumbing fields. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Linda N. Naugle, married to David Naugle, of Mt. Holly Springs Pa; and Cynthia Ann Lepperd, married to Michael K. Lepperd of Carlisle; two grandsons; Kristoffer Jon Morris and his wife Jessica from East Waterford, Pa; Jonathan Michael Lepperd of Carlisle; and his beloved dog Chloe. In 2004, Tom and Marion moved to Carlisle Pa to be closer to their daughters. Tom took up golfing and bowling, and in earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with friends. He was a great husband, fantastic father, and a reliable friend always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He will be sadly missed. Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening March 21st from 6-8pm and also Wednesday morning March 22nd from 9:30-10:30am in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Rt 422 and Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue in Hershey on Wednesday at 11:00 am with burial to follow at the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tom's name to the Salvation Army or Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg. Marsiglia "Marsie" Heister, 71, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
She was born on April 21, 1945 the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Foschetti. Marsie was the loving wife of Craig Heister of Hershey. She was a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Margaret D. (Adams) Panco, 83, of Hershey, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2017, in Country Meadows, Hershey, with her family by her side.
Born in Jeddo, PA on May 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Tucker Adams. Marge was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Marge was a Navy wife, and later supported her husband in his insurance business; all of this while maintaining a household and raising her children. She loved traveling with her family, both immediate and extended within the United States and abroad. In recent years, she enjoyed day trips, and longer excursions, mostly to the beach, with groups from Country Meadows. She was a 1950 graduate of Hazle Township High School. Marge was a longtime member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey. She supported her children's interest in scouting as an assistant den mother, committee woman and former treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 65, Hershey, and as an assistant troop leader for a Hershey Girl Scout Troop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Panco. Marge is survived by two sons, David J. Panco of Lacey, WA, and Robert Panco, Jr. husband of Natalie of Hummelstown; a daughter, Paula M. McCreary wife of Brett of Hummelstown; a sister, Marie Zawatsky wife of John of Mountain Top, PA; three grandchildren, Tyler Panco, Daniel McCreary, and Shannon McCreary; three step grandchildren, Ryan Holmberg, Darien Springer, and Kalina Springer. Marge's family would like to take this opportunity to thank Grane Hospice, especially her caregivers Michelle and Alex, and the entire staff at Country Meadows of Hershey. Appreciation is extended as well to her many local friends and those at Country Meadows who shared their kindness and support during these past few months. Niccolini, 88, of Hershey, Pennsylvania, formerly of Frackville, passed away on March 5, 2017 with her family by her side at Arden Court in Harrisburg.
She was born November 13, 1928 in Frackville, PA, daughter of the late John and Mary (Oldinsky) Kowker. Amelia was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church; the Areba Club; and the Hershey Italian Lodge. She enjoyed bus trips and visiting with family & friends. She retired from the Hershey Chocolate Co., where she took great pride in working on the Hershey Kiss line. Mrs. Niccolini is survived by; a brother, William B. Kowker of Gilberton; and a great number of nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Guido Niccolini; brothers, Edward, John Jr., Leonard & Walter Kowker; sisters, Adeline Markowski & Eleanor Zink; and 4 infant sisters. She was the wife of Michael L. Horetsky, who passed away in 1978. Born in Lebanon on September 6, 1934, Mary was a daughter of Antonio and Carmela (Manno) Croce. Mary was a 1952 graduate of Lebanon Catholic School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at the Hershey Medical Center until her retirement. Mary was a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish in Hershey. Mary was a kind hearted person. She enjoyed cooking, taking trips to the casino and the beach, shopping for antiques, and playing cards and board games. She is survived by a son, David J. Horetsky, of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren, Danielle, Evan, and Taylor; a brother, Rudolph Croce; two sisters, Anna Ilgenfritz and Christina Mohl; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Horetsky; and several brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8 at St. Mary's Church, 2 North 8th Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. She was born March 5, 1932 in Lebanon, PA, daughter of John and Emma Boltz Erdman.
Kay was a graduate of Lebanon High School. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Hershey Country Club, and Hershey Italian Lodge. Kay was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed traveling, and playing golf and tennis. Her smile and beauty would light up a room. Kay loved to dance and if the Olympics had a jitter bug competition, she would have taken home the gold. Surviving is her husband, C. Howard Kinloch; daughters, Trudy K. (William J.) Burgess and Jan M. Zaccanini; stepdaughter, Susan Kinloch (Jeffrey G.) Neupauer; stepson, Charles "Dinny" (Karen) Kinloch, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; daughter in law, Leslie Fox. She was preceded in death by her son, John K. Charlie received his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education from Shippensburg University. He was a former teacher, counselor and administrator at the Milton Hershey School and retired as Director of Human Resources at Abington Heights School District in Clarks Summit. Charlie was Past President and member of the Derry Townshiop School Board, Past Master and member of the former Spring Creek Lodge #820 F&AM of Hershey and former member of the Hershey Rotary Club. He is survived by his brother, Richard T. and his wife, Christina Francis of Hershey. Visitation will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 from 9:30am 10:30am, in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hershey. Metro was born on October 19, 1929 in Mount Pleasant, Pa and was the son of Polish-Ukrainian immigrants Alex and Anna Szerba Butsko. As a young man he worked as a coal miner and in 1950 he entered the Army and served proudly during the Korean conflict. On February 11, 1956 he married the former Joan Andruscavage in Shenandoah, PA and were married for 52 years. Metro was a member of the VFW Post 3502 and the American Legion. Metro worked for the Reading railroad and retired from Conrail where he was a car inspector. He enjoyed spending time outside, the Saturday's Market and tinkering around the house during his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (2007), his parents, brothers, Peter, Andrew, John and Paul and sisters Mary and Fenda. Metro is survived by his two children, Glen Butsko and his wife Connie of Savannah, Georgia and Sharon Smith and her husband Travis Smith of Stuart, Florida; six grandchildren Kayla, Kyle, Mason, Curtis, Parker and Addison; companion of 9 years Irene Williams of Lansdale, PA, brothers Frank of San Clemente, CA, Harry of Duncannon, PA, and sister Katie of Ashland, PA; and many nieces and nephews. "Mitt, Met, Dad, Grandpa and Pop Pop", Brother, Father and Grandfather, was a gentleman and beloved friend, he will sadly be missed. She was born December 19, 1914 in Union Furnace, PA, daughter of the late Angelo and Giovanna Piconi. Mary attended St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey; and she was a member of their Areba Club and the St. Lawrence Club in Steelton. Mary is survived by; sister, Mae Piconi, many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Michael Stulich and Elden Hixon. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 2 PM in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. of Hershey. The family will begin receiving guests at 1:30 PM. Anthony was born May 21, 1924, in Thompson, PA, to Davide and Pasqua Pala, recent immigrants from Italy, and raised in Hershey, PA, the only son of six children. After graduating from Hershey High School in 1942, Tony served with valor in World War II in CO F 135th Infantry Regiment 24th Inf. Div. He fought in the African Middle Eastern Conflict and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, 2 Purple Hearts, and European Middle Eastern Service Medal with four Bronze Stars. He was wounded twice in Italy. Upon returning home, Tony married his sweetheart Ruth Ann Souder on November 22, 1945. He entered the Air Force Reserve and during the Korean War, served as Airman First Class as an air conditioning mechanic in West Palm Beach. Following the Korean War, Tony returned to Hershey and entered the US Civil Service as an air conditioning mechanic at Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown, PA. He later moved to Newburgh, New York, working at Stewart Air Force Base, and to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, at Otis Air Force Base. He ultimately retired from service after 27 years remaining in Cape Cod becoming a plumbing and heating Technician with Wright Oil until he retired. Tony was an active member of the Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the VFW. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He loved a great Italian meal, a good yard sale, and he loved to travel – he visited 49 states and numerous countries. In 2009, he returned to Hershey after his wife passed away and married Jane Yanoscsik on his birthday in 2011. They loved to travel and just loved being together. He was one of a kind and one of the best!! Anthony was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Ann, and his daughters, Barbara and Janice, as well as his sisters, Matilda and Mary. He is survived by his children, David James Pala (Betty), Kathleen Joan Croker (Brian), Quintina Jane Huestis (Dave), and Anthony James Pala Jr. (Kathy); as well as his sisters Emily Summy, Dora Borzilleri, and Rosie Thierwechter. Tony is also survived by 11 grandchildren - Jennifer, Christine, Andrea, David, Michael, Stephen, Brian, Cheryl, James, Katie Marie, and Sean. He also had 13 great grandchildren! He is survived by his wife Jane, her children Angela Hilf (George), Annette Ettinger (Mark), and Stephen Yanoscsik (Cindy), as well as her grandchildren, Brian, Bill, Stewart, Andrew, Kyle, Jake; and 5 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 11:00 AM in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, with The Rev. Fr. Alfred P. Sceski as celebrant. Interment with military honors will be in the Hershey Cemetery. Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 17, 2017, at 5:30 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Family and friends will be received for a viewing in the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
