Frances Nucci DiClemente, 83, of Hershey, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2016 in the M.S.Hershey Medical Center with her loving family surrounding her.
Born in Hershey on November 30, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Attilio and Maddalena (Funghi) Nucci. Frances graduated from Hershey High and Drexel University. In addition to being a homemaker and raising her daughters, she was a home economist for PP&L; an administrative assistant at the Hershey Nursery; and later worked part time at Hershey's Chocolate World. Her memberships include: St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church; St. Vincent de Paul Society; volunteering at Hershey Public Library; Mohler Senior Center. She also enjoyed tennis and reading, but mostly she loved spending time with her family. Frances is survived by her three daughters, Diane (Greg) Brockman of Boiling Springs, Donna (Kevin) Campisi of Mechanicsburg, and Susan (Robert) Louer of Middletown; sister, Jessie Kunetz of Hershey; grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Nicole, Ashley, Joseph, Jack, Grace, Ryan, Robert, Tiffany; brother in law, Donald DiClemente and sister in law, Diva Passalacqua, both of Hershey; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Divo F. DiClemente in 2012. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 5PM on Monday, October 24, 2016, followed by a visitation from 5:30 - 7:30 PM; and also the following morning from 9:30 - 10:30 AM, in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, of Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 11 AM in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will follow in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Heart of the Parish Fund, c/o St. Joan of Arc Church 359 W. Areba Ave. Hershey, PA 17033. Carmela Cullari, 87, of Hershey, formerly of Cranford, NJ, passed away on October 12, 2016 in the M.S.Hershey Medical Center.
She was born April 8, 1929 in Caroniti, Italy, daughter of the late Gaetano and Antonia (Giacco) Cullari. Carmela was a former member of the Mohler Sr. Center Hershey and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Mrs. Cullari is survived by; son, Salvatore Cullari and his wife Kathi, of Hershey; son, Gaetano "Guy" Cullari and his wife Candy, of Pine Grove; grandchildren, Dante, Catherine, Chris, Rachel and Michelle, and great-grandchildren Teresa and Elizabeth Aujero. She was predeceased in death by her husband Carmelo Cullari in 1994. A viewing will be held Monday, October 17, 2016, from 6 - 8 PM, in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 88 Lucy Ave., Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 10:30 AM in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey. Spagnolo, 53, of Linglestown, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 14, 2016 in the Hershey Medical Center, after a struggle with cancer. She was surrounded by family at the time of her passing. Jeanne was born in Harrisburg on July 10, 1963.
She was a graduate of the 1981 Class of Bishop McDevitt High School, Harrisburg. She was the Office Manager for the Budget and Finance Office and the Office of Tax Assessment for Dauphin County for 30 years. Jeanne enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting with her sisters, nieces and nephews, swimming at her sister's pool, cooking and trying out new recipes, reading, and spending time with her family. After dinner on Sundays, her favorite pastime was playing cards with her brother and parents. Her favorite place to be was sitting on the beach listening to the ocean, soaking up the sun, and watching the sunrise with her cup of coffee. Jeanne is survived by her parents, Philip J. and Patricia D. Spagnolo of Hershey, her sisters, Patricia L. Blascovich, wife of Jude Blascovich of Harrisburg, Linda M. Spagnolo and her companion, Mark Nicholson of Carlisle, Stephanie A. Smith, wife of Gary E. Smith, Mary L. Becher, wife of David Becher, all of Harrisburg, a brother, Robert J. Spagnolo of Hummelstown, as well as many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jeanne was predeceased by her brother, Richard P. Spagnolo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Avenue, Hershey, with the Rev. Alfred Sceski as celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. Friends are invited to call on Sunday, October 23rd, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Hoover Funeral Home, Route #422 and Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Orsini, 88, a lifetime resident of Hummelstown passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 in The Gardens at Campbelltown.
Born June 16, 1928 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Orlando and Rose (Cecchini) Orsini. A 1947 graduate of the former Hummelstown High School, he was a standout multisport athlete, but excelled on the gridiron. He set numerous school records and was the 1946 Harrisburg area High School Player of the Year. He continued his playing career at Penn State University, where he was a two year letterman and the leading rusher in 1950. He received his bachelor's degree from Penn State where he was in the Air Force ROTC program and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He then served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a First Lieutenant from 1951-1954. A humble and giving man, he taught Social Studies for 35 years for the Cornwall Lebanon School District, where he also served as an assistant football and baseball coach for 16 years. He had a passion for Pennsylvania history, and he compiled and presented slide shows on many topics, especially covered bridges. In the community he stayed active by helping his parents and sister at The Warwick Hotel, coaching his sons' baseball teams and the Hummelstown Twilight team, umpiring in various softball leagues, driving for Meals on Wheels, and giving talks on Pennsylvania history to organizations in the area. He was a member of the Central Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, the Theodor Burr Covered Bridge Society of Pennsylvania and the Hummelstown Area Historical Society. Surviving are his high school sweetheart and wife of 65 years Nancy (Hummel) Orsini; four sons Michael of Sewickley, husband of Linda Orsini, Thomas of Virginia Beach, husband of Pam Orsini, Steven of Oklahoma City, husband of Amy Orsini and Ronald of Houston, husband of Alice Orsini; sister Jean Paine of Hummelstown; eight grandchildren Christine, wife of Brian Mickey, Carolyn, wife of Jason Woytowich, Elizabeth Orsini, Grayson Orsini, husband of Kelsey Orsini, Alexandra Orsini, Angela Orsini, Abigail Orsini and Katherine Orsini; five great grandchildren Olivia Mickey, Connor Mickey, Caroline Mickey, Julia Woytowich and Lauren Elizabeth Woytowich; niece Sherri Rizzo, wife of John Rizzo; and nephews Daniel Paine and Jeffrey Paine. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday, October 22, 2016 at his lifetime church, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Viewing will be held 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at Buse Funeral Home, 2 East Main Street, Hummelstown. Interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery. She was a member of ASPCA, World Wildlife Federation animal rescue and Ocean Conservation. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church. Jo Ann was predeceased by her brother, Stephen Stroub, Sr. Jo Ann is survived by her niece, Stephanie Stroub Sellen of Harrisburg; her nephew, Stephen Stroub, Jr. of Nevada. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 11 A.M. at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 W Areba Ave, Hershey. The Rev. Steven Arena will be the Celebrant. He was the husband of Donna S. (Landis) Murphy. Born May 10, 1951 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Connell) Murphy.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by a son, David Murphy of Atlanta; a daughter, Jamey Murphy-Wood, wife of James Wood of Harrisburg; a brother, Joseph Murphy Jr., husband of Judy Murphy of Harrisburg; two sisters, Kate Bohan, wife of Bill Bohan of Scranton, Patricia Murphy of Harrisburg; a sister-in-law, Enie Murphy of Harrisburg, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by a brother, John Murphy. A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be held in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033 on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 12:00pm, Father Alfred Sceski celebrant. There will be a visitation at the church on Monday from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
