James William Grap, age 72 of Palmyra, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his adoring family on February 14, 2019.
Jim was born on November 17, 1946 in Catonsville, Maryland, son of the late William and Mildred Grap. He graduated from Catonsville Senior High School in 1965, and received his B.S. from the University of Baltimore and his MBA from Penn State Harrisburg. Jim was an Air Force Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War and was recognized for outstanding service. Jim relocated to Hershey where he began a distinguished career at the Hershey Company in 1976. He retired as the Director of Logistics after 38 years. Jim was a devout member of St. Joan of Arc Church. Jim was generous in life, always willing to give fully of himself. Family and friends knew Jim to have a quiet strength and lead by example. His greatest joy in life was his family. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary Grap of Palmyra, his children William Grap and wife Shannon, Elizbeth Fritz and husband Caleb, James Grap, Katie Needham and husband Keith, Emily Grap and Mary Ellen Grap, his grandchildren Avery and Evan Grap, Michael, Maria, Gabriel and Matthew Fritz. Jim is survived by his brother Edward Grap and wife Yvonne. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 19th from 5-7pm in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory in Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 20th at 10:30am in his church at 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Interment with honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Morning Star Pregnancy Services, 3837 Walnut St., Harrisburg, PA 17109. Patrick Daniel "Dan" Connolly, 88, of Hershey, passed away on February 24, 2019 in the Hospice unit at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was born September 3, 1930 in Scranton, son of the late Edward and Agnes (Size) Connolly.
Dan was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the Hershey American Legion #386. He loved to travel, especially cruises and spending time in Florida during the winter months. Mr. Connolly is survived by his wife, Rosemary Russell-Connolly; sons, Michael, Daniel and David Connolly; daughter, Karen Coghlan; stepson, John Russell; brother, James Connolly; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Martin) Connolly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 12 Noon in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey. The family will visit with friends after the mass. Private interment with military honors will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to either: Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, 1700 S. Barbara was a resident of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania at the time of passing. Surviving is her husband, John C. O'Toole, Sr.; sons, Robert F. (Brandi) and Patrick P.; grandchildren, Jack & Addi; sister, Elizabeth (Barry) Karnes; brother, Dominic (Kimberly) Iacavone, Jr. Visitation will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 from 10:00am 11:00am followed by a memorial service in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hershey. Monday, March 04, 2019 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of Hershey 88 Lucy Ave. Hershey, Pennsylvania 17033 Charles Walter Everson, 91, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, formerly of Hershey, passed away on February 21, 2019 in the Gardens of Camp Hill. He was born January 9, 1928 in Menominee, MI, son of Walter Everson and Mabel Everson. Charles was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey; a US Army veteran of World War II and an American Legion Member. He had worked in the meat industry for many years until retiring from HERCO in 1993. He enjoyed hunting, water skiing, boating and spending time at his summer home on the Susquehanna River. Charles is survived by; son, Michael Shane Everson; brothers, Eugene and Douglas Everson; close family friend, Dawn Moberg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Joyce (Klaver) Everson; a brother, Henry Everson; sisters, Pamela Everson, Myrtle Barcewsk and Lois Linsmeier. A memorial will be held in his hometown of Menominee, MI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to St. Joan of Arc Building Fund, 359 W.
