![]() Amelia “Mickey” Joan Verrazzani, of Hershey, PA passed away peacefully on May 8, 2020, at the age of 98. Amelia was born November 22, 1921 in Montemerano, Italy, the first-born of the late Claudio and Maria (Nutti) Rossi. Amelia arrived in America from Italy when she was 3 years old and moved to Hershey, PA with her parents. She was a graduate of Hershey High School, Class of 1939. She and her three younger brothers grew up on Granada Avenue, the same street where she would later meet her husband Steno. Her love of fashion and beauty started as a young girl, and led to her position as a buyer at The Hershey Department Store. She was always sharply dressed and never without her lipstick or jewelry. Mickey had a zest for life, loved to laugh and was joyful through her final days. Many cherished moments were shared with her big Italian family around the kitchen table. Her favorite word was “Yes!”, to any travel excursion, adventure, or invitation; whether it was spending more time in Florida, trips to Italy, bus trips to NYC, cruises with family or friends, breakfast with her girlfriends, or dinner at her favorite restaurants. Throughout her life, Mickey enjoyed many activities including entertaining, tennis, cards, dancing, musical events, and going to the beauty salon. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey, the Counsel of Catholic Women and the Mohler Senior Center. Amelia is survived by her three children Pamela Foust, Lorraine Reese (husband, Scott), John Verrazzani (wife, Barbara); her brother Albert Rossi (wife, Dolores); 4 grandchildren Kristen Steele (husband, Scott), Scott Reese Jr., Jilian Treadway and Jessica Foust; 7 great-grandchildren Mia, Sammy, Tanner, Tyler, Carlin, Emma and Jada; 8 nieces and nephews; 9 great-nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great nieces. In addition to her parents, Mickey was also preceded in death by her loving husband Steno; her brothers Enrico “Ric” Rossi and Estenio “Stan” Rossi; and her son-in-law Wayne Foust. We will deeply miss the matriarch of our family and her infectious laugh, her warm smile, her gentle voice, her delicious pizzelles, and her infinite love, but we take comfort in the fact that she has been reunited with Steno, the love of her life, who she has been waiting to see again for 34 years. Che bella vita! Interment with a private graveside service will be in the Hershey Cemetery. A memorial mass will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Mohler Senior Center 25 Hope Dr. Hershey, PA 17033 Feel Your Boobies 4801 Lindle Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17111 St. Joan of Arc Church 359 W.
