Patrick Daniel "Dan" Connolly, 88, of Hershey, passed away on February 24, 2019 in the Hospice unit at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was born September 3, 1930 in Scranton, son of the late Edward and Agnes (Size) Connolly.
Dan was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the Hershey American Legion #386. He loved to travel, especially cruises and spending time in Florida during the winter months. Mr. Connolly is survived by his wife, Rosemary Russell-Connolly; sons, Michael, Daniel and David Connolly; daughter, Karen Coghlan; stepson, John Russell; brother, James Connolly; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Martin) Connolly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 12 Noon in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey. The family will visit with friends after the mass. Private interment with military honors will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to either: Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave. Lebanon, PA 17042 or Heart of the Parish Fund, c/o St. Joan of Arc Church 359 W. Areba Ave. Hershey, PA 17033. Make a contribution to the Heart of the Parish Fund here.
