​Clara Joan Covage (1927-2021)

Clara Joan Covage, 93, of Hershey, passed away on January 26, 2021 in the Hershey Medical Center.

She was born July 4, 1927 in Pottsville, daughter the late of Frank and Mary Hertley Purcell.
Clara graduated from Pottsville Area High School and Cosmetology School.  She was a self-employed beautician and worked for the H.B. Reese Candy Co. and was also a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.   She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Clara enjoyed shopping, dining at restaurants and trips to the hair and nail salon.

Clara is survived by; son, Charles F. (wife, Linda) Covage and granddaughters, Chelsea and Cassie Covage.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Covage.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 3, from 10:30-11:30AM in the Hoover Funeral Home of Hershey.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey.  Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to: Heart of the Parish Fund, c/o St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 W. Areba Ave. Hershey, PA 17033.
