Claudette Shiber, 75, of Hershey passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015, with her family by her side.
Born October 28, 1939 in Haifa, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Abla (Srouji) Jahshan. She was the widow of George B. Shiber and had retired from the M.S. Hershey Medical Center after 26 years. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Claudette is survived by her three loving children, Mary (Ross) Yannayon of Raleigh, North Carolina, Ramzi (Ada) Shiber of Philadelphia, and Randa (Joe B) Gray of Harrisburg; her grandchildren Jamie and Brooke Yannayon, and Maxwell Shiber; and her brothers Joseph and Tony Jahshan. She will always be remembered by her eyes that smiled and her voice that would sing. She was a wonderful mother and devoted wife. Memorial Mass will be celebrated in her honor at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at her church 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. A reception with the family will follow the mass from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM at Spring Hill Suites, 115 Museum Drive, Hershey (across from the Antique Car Museum). A private interment will be held at the Hummelstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033 or to the Neurology ICU Unit of the M.S.
