On February 5, 2021 in Hershey, PA, Denise Michele Valente passed after a hard battle with cancer at age 55. She was comforted by her family and her companion John Peters. Devoted mother of Mark (Caroline) and Brittany (Frank), and stepmother to Alison Tlaxcala (David) and Gordon Peters (Ashlyn). Daughter to Dolores Meister (Bill) and the late William Anderson (Janet). Sister to Karen Palumbo, Scott Anderson (Tracey) and the late Mark Anderson (Lisa), and stepsister to Jennifer Diaz (Victor) and Russell Brandt (Erica). Denise enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. She loved being called Nece and Aunt Denise by her nieces and nephews Jacqueline Wilson (Jim), Louis Palumbo, Corrine Anderson (Harry), Amber Del Pidio (Sam), Penelope Diaz, Kelly Perrong (Rob) and Tommy Valente (Lauren); by her great-nieces and nephews Emma and Ava Perrong, and Benjamin and Graeme Wilson; and by her grandchildren Barrett and Bowen Tlaxcala, and Weston Peters. She is also survived by many adoring in-laws and extended family. Denise was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She worked hard to earn her BA from Duquesne University while raising her children and caring for her late husband Gregory Valente. She was always the life of the party and could make anyone laugh. She loved traveling, especially to see her children across the country and the world. She had a gift for encouraging people to be their best selves and to follow their dreams.
