Dominic Nestico (1927-2024)

Dominic J. Nestico, 96, of  Palmyra, passed away on January 3, 2024 at Traditions of Hershey. He was born November 20, 1927 in Kulpmont, son of the late Joseph and Edith (Bridy) Nestico.
As a young man growing up in the coal region of PA, "Nick" worked in the coal mines.  He went on to serve as a Corporal in the United States Army during both WWII and the Korean Wars.  He went on to work at the former Olmstead Air Force Base in Middletown, later he worked for the Milton Hershey School's maintenance department until retiring.  His memberships include St. Joan of Arc Church and the Hershey Italian Lodge, where he enjoyed playing in the Bocce League.  He enjoyed time with friends, good food and his family.
Nick is survived by son, Joseph J. Nestico; granddaughter, Maria  Memmi; grandchildren, Joseph D. Nestico and Sophia A. Memmi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara M. (Higgins) Nestico; daughters, Anita Memmi  and Gloria J. Nestico.
A visitation will be held  Friday, January 12, 2024, from 10-11AM in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11AM.  Interment will follow in the Hershey Cemetery. Share condolences at www.hooverfuneralhome.com
