Edward J. Kelly, 86, of Hershey, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 in The Gardens at Campbelltown.
Born March 3, 1930 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Edward and Margaret (Boyle) Kelly and was also preceded in death by siblings Jean Gretsky, Thomas Kelly, and Eileen Geary. A member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Hershey, he was a U.S. Army Captain serving in the Korean War. He owned his own business as a Combustion Consultant to major steel mills worldwide and was a former Vice President of Hauck Manufacturing, Cleona. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mary L. (Dunnigan) Kelly; children Patricia Langley of Wilmington, Delaware, Edward, husband of Diane Kelly of East Granby, Connecticut, Kathy Black of Palmyra and Michael, husband of Kathy Kelly of Palmyra; and grandchildren Daniel Langley, Jonathan Kelly, Katie Kelly, Kevin Kelly, and Christina Kelly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:30 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at his church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, preceded by a viewing beginning at 11:30 AM at the church. Interment, with military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice for All Seasons, 280 South Hill Drive, Grantville, PA 17028 or St. Joan of Arc, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033 (Memorial Gifts can be made online here).
