![]() Emil Drobnock passed away on July 22, 2020 after 91 fulfilling years of life. He was born on May 2, 1929 in Hazelton PA, son of the late Michael and Anne Billie Drobnock. He was a proud US Army veteran and would tell stories of his time as a machinist in Guam during the Korean War. After serving, he worked for the former AMP Inc, and later founded and operated the Candy Chalet in Hershey. He was the widower of Antoinette (English) Drobnock and was preceded in death by his eight siblings. He is survived by his son, David E. Drobnock and wife, Ann (Nestico) of Hershey and their four daughters: Emily and husband Matt; Sarah and husband Ben; Danielle and fiance, Dale and Sophia and one great granddaughter, Nora Ann Berkheimer. Emil, known by all as "Poppy", loved tinkering with lawn equipment, scratching off lottery tickets, and enjoying a cup of coffee with friends. He was fiercely independent, but loved spending time with his family. Poppy is already greatly missed, "You're out of this world. A million kisses". Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice Unit at the Lebanon VA Hospital or St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. Send condolences via the online guest book at www.hooverfuneralhome.com.
