Erma C. (D'Eramo) Bender - Wall, 89, of Columbia Cottages, Palmyra, formerly of Hershey, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018.
She was born September 24, 1928 in Hershey, daughter of the late Mauro and Adelina (Coco) D'Eramo. She was a graduate of Hershey High and was devoted mother and wife. She returned to further her education at age 50 to become a Registered Nurse. Erma had worked at Dauphin Manor Nursing Home until retirement. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and cooking. Mrs. Bender is survived by; daughters, Susan (Jeffrey) Spayd of Lancaster, Catherine Hannan of Middletown, and Patricia Bender of Houston, TX; son, Kenneth Bender of Wellington, FL; sisters, Gilda Villa and Rose Resanovich; 12 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Kenneth W. Bender and Leonard Wall; daughter, Celia Lindsay; and sister, Florence Tomaino. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 9:30 - 10:30 AM, in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, 88 Lucy Ave. Hershey; followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11AM in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions made to: Heart of the Parish Fund, c/o St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 W.
