Geraldine J. Diggins, 75, of Hershey, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Harrisburg. She was born on September 25, 1940 in Hazleton PA, the daughter of the late Anthony and Lena (Plesh) Veet.
Mrs. Diggins was a 1958 graduate of Hazelton High School and former employee of Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown, PA. She was a life member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey. Geraldine was administrative director of the Hershey Racquet Club, where she enjoyed her love of tennis with her son Bernard; and organized, conducted and participated in USTA regional tournaments. She was active in the Mohler Senior Center, where she enjoyed line dancing, creative artwork and participating in the Red Hat Club. Geraldine is survived by: husband, Francis E. Diggins; son Bernard J. Diggins and his wife Kristin; grandchildren, Ashley, Alexander, and Victoria; sister, Angela Dragonette and husband Carl; sister Bernadette Koval; and many nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11AM in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will follow in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation, 218 W.
